STATION READINESS
Your Station
One glance: what is due, what is aging out, and what needs action.
Add your first firefighter and gear set.
Station Handler™ will turn inspection, cleaning, and retirement dates into one prioritized action list.
PRIORITY QUEUE
What needs attention
QUICK ACTION
Log what just happened
PEOPLE + READINESS
Roster
One active-firefighter list showing who is current, who is coming due, and who needs action.
ACTIVE ROSTER
Firefighter readiness
Compliance reflects only requirements configured and tracked in Station Handler™. Missing setup is shown separately instead of being treated as compliant.
GEAR + APPARATUS
Equipment
PPE, apparatus readiness, deficiencies, and service-testing clocks in one operational workspace.
PEOPLE + PPE
Gear
Assignments, inspections, cleanings, service life, and damage history.
TRUCKS + TESTING
Apparatus
Recurring unit checks, open deficiencies, pump/hose/ladder service testing.
APPARATUS READINESS
Unit checks
Each department sets its own check interval. A deficiency stays open on the readiness dashboard until it is explicitly resolved.
SERVICE TESTING
Pump, hose & ladder clocks
Intervals are configurable so the record follows your adopted policy, current standard, manufacturer instructions, and AHJ requirements instead of hard-coding an obsolete standard number.
PEOPLE + TRAINING
Training
Track annual department training hours by firefighter and category without creating a second roster.
ANNUAL READINESS
Firefighter training progress
Targets are department-configured planning values. Station Handler™ does not label them as an ISO, NFPA, state, or AHJ mandate unless your department adopts and configures that requirement.
RECENT ACTIVITY
Training log
APPARATUS + LIVE MONITORING
Battery Readiness
One list: which trucks are monitored, whether the sensor is still reporting, and which batteries need attention.
BAY GATEWAY REGISTRY
Monitoring path
One mains-powered gateway can listen for multiple truck sensors in a bay. Gateway health is scored separately from battery health so stale data can never remain falsely green.
APPARATUS BATTERY STATUS
Truck list
SENSOR ADAPTERS
Ready to connect
DOCUMENTATION
History
Every inspection and cleaning is timestamped so the station can prove what was done.
Activity log
No records yet.
DEPARTMENT SETUP
Settings
Keep standards-sensitive intervals configurable. Station Handler™ tracks your department policy; it does not replace the AHJ, manufacturer instructions, or NFPA text.
DEMO MODE
Show the whole app in action
Temporarily load a complete synthetic department across Ready, Roster, Equipment, Training, and Battery. Your real station state is preserved and restored when Demo Mode ends.
CLOUD SYNC PREVIEW
Station Handler™ still saves locally first. Connect a Firebase-backed station snapshot only when you want another phone, tablet, or computer to see the same field-test data.
—The station code is a high-entropy shared secret. V1.8.0 does not yet have named user accounts, role permissions, or a permanent per-action cloud audit trail. Do not treat it as the final production security model.
Station
Station Handler™ will not let a department extend the structural ensemble retirement ceiling. SCBA and Other items use manufacturer/AHJ-specific retirement rules instead.
This clock is tracked separately from the annual advanced inspection clock.
Department policy can be more frequent, but Station Handler™ will not allow the advanced inspection interval to exceed 365 days. Always follow your AHJ and manufacturer instructions.
Department roster
Add names once so PPE assignments and inspection records stay consistent.
Select who normally uses this device. It powers the My Gear view only; it does not change department records.
FAST ACCESS
QR / NFC tags
Bind an existing QR, barcode, or NFC tag to a PPE item. After that, scan the tag and Station Handler™ opens the record instantly.
Camera scanning uses the browser’s native decoder where available and an automatically cached ZXing fallback on iPhone/iPad and other unsupported browsers. After one online install/load, the fallback remains available offline. NFC still depends on browser support. Manual tag entry is always available.
Training targets
Set the annual hours your department wants Station Handler™ to track. Leave a target at 0 if you only want documentation without a readiness threshold.
Other categories can still be logged and exported. These four targets are surfaced because they are common chief-level training buckets.
Records
Open the PPE inspection and cleaning activity log.
